Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has approved financial and administrative proposals worth ₹8.61 crore for expanding infrastructure and providing relief to disaster-affected families in the state. The approved funds will be used to strengthen the electricity system in Dehradun and to provide financial assistance to disaster-hit families in Uttarkashi.
₹4.92 crore has been sanctioned for strengthening the electricity supply in areas of the Dehradun Cantt Assembly constituency that are not covered by underground (bunched) cables. The project will improve safe and reliable electricity supply.
Additionally, ₹3.69 crore has been approved from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund for 123 completely destroyed houses in Bhattwadi, Dunda, Chinyalisaur, Barkot, and Mori tehsils of Uttarkashi district. Each affected family will receive ₹3 lakh as assistance. The order has already been issued.
The state government stated that timely relief to disaster-affected families is a priority, along with continuous investment in infrastructure development.
