Dehradun: A meeting of the Expenditure Finance Committee was held at the Secretariat on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan. Several development project proposals were discussed, and many important schemes were recommended.
The Chief Secretary directed officials to include hostel facilities along with construction work at Government Polytechnic New Tehri. He also emphasized that for any construction work, it must be ensured that the selected site is the most suitable, and a site selection committee report must be attached.
Several key projects approved in the meeting include:
- Reethamandi Drinking Water Scheme – Cost: ₹20.64 crore
- Tamli, Champawat Multi-village Drinking Water Scheme – Cost: ₹14.57 crore
- Multi-level parking construction at Kyar Khuli, Mussoorie – Cost: ₹16.06 crore
- Tehsil building construction at Basukedar – Cost: ₹12.26 crore
Additionally, extra works for the bus port construction in Ramnagar (₹21.57 crore) were approved.
The committee also approved additional work worth ₹45.20 crore by Uttarakhand Power Corporation Limited for a 33 KV line from Sonprayag to Kedarnath Dham.
The meeting was attended by Principal Secretary R. Meenakshi Sundaram, Secretary Chandresh Kumar Yadav, Ravinath Raman, and other concerned officials.
