Uttarkashi: Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated the “Government of the People, Doorsteps of the People” program held at the Chinyalisaur development block complex on Thursday and inspected departmental stalls. During the program, he listened to villagers’ complaints and resolved most of the issues by instructing officials on the spot.
The Chief Minister stated that this campaign has provided significant relief to the general public and has made the administrative system more accessible and transparent. He stated that over 600 camps have been organized in the state so far, with over 500,000 people participating, and over 40,000 beneficiaries receiving direct benefits from various schemes. The government’s goal is to ensure that people in remote villages don’t have to travel to the district headquarters for minor issues, and therefore, camps are being organized in every village.
Heli-to-air services will begin from Chinyalisaur and Gauchar airstrips.
The Chief Minister stated that important decisions have been taken to expand heli-to-air services in the state. Heli-to-air services are planned from Chinyalisaur and Gauchar airstrips, which will be operated by the Army. Preparations for the Chardham Yatra, which begins in April, have also begun in advance to ensure better facilities for pilgrims. He stated that local stakeholders play a crucial role in ensuring the success of the Yatra.
Emphasis on Women Empowerment
The Chief Minister stated that the state government is continuously working to gain national and international recognition for products made by women. To date, more than two lakh Lakhpati Didis (millionaire sisters) have been empowered in the state.
On the demand of local residents, the Chief Minister also assured to include the upgradation of the Chinyalisaur CHC and the college in the Chief Minister’s announcement.
Chief Secretary outlined the campaign’s achievements.
Chief Secretary Anand Vardhan stated that the campaign is running successfully under the Chief Minister’s guidance. So far, more than 500,000 citizens have participated, and over 40,000 certificates have been issued. Problems that could not be resolved on the spot are being registered online and regularly followed up.
Yamunotri MLA Sanjay Doval, District Magistrate Prashant Arya, Superintendent of Police Kamlesh Upadhyay, along with numerous public representatives and officials were present at the event.
