Haldwani: CM Dhami Hears Public Grievances in Chorgalia, Inaugurates ₹9.93-Crore Bridge

Haldwani/Chorgalia, August 16: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami visited Nainital district on Sunday and reached Government Inter College Lakhanmandi, Chorgalia. At the helipad, he was welcomed by Cabinet Minister Ram Singh Kaida, Lalkuan MLA Dr. Mohan Singh Bisht, District Panchayat Chairperson Deepa Darmawal, District Magistrate Lalit Mohan Ryal, Senior Superintendent of Police Dr. Manjunath T.C., along with other public representatives and officials.

At Government Inter College Lakhanmandi, the Chief Minister met local residents and public representatives and listened to their grievances. He directed officials to ensure that public complaints are resolved promptly on a priority basis. The Chief Minister said special attention should be paid to ensuring that people do not have to repeatedly visit government offices for the resolution of even minor problems.

Subsequently, the Chief Minister inaugurated a 120-metre-long double-lane RCC concrete bridge constructed at a cost of ₹9.93 crore over Sher Nala on the Haldwani–Chorgalia–Sitarganj road.

During the monsoon, Sher Nala often swelled significantly, causing long-standing difficulties for local residents. When the water level rose, traffic was frequently disrupted, forcing people to take long detours to reach their destinations.

With the opening of the newly constructed bridge, both local residents and tourists will have greater convenience in travelling through the area. Local residents expressed their gratitude to the Chief Minister for the construction and inauguration of the bridge.

BJP State President Mahendra Bhatt, Cabinet Minister Ram Singh Kaida, MLA Dr. Mohan Singh Bisht, along with various public representatives and administrative officials, were present on the occasion.
