Dehradun: In an important order issued from Dehradun, the Government of Uttarakhand has released a helpline number and email to assist residents of Uttarakhand who are living or stranded in Gulf countries and the Middle East.
The government stated that Uttarakhand residents living or working in countries such as Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Iran, Israel, and Oman will be provided immediate assistance in case of any difficulty. Coordination will be done with the Ministry of External Affairs and concerned Indian embassies.
For this purpose, Special Secretary (Home) Nivedita Kukreti has been appointed as the nodal officer. Through her office, necessary assistance, coordination, and guidance will be provided.

The government has appealed to the public that if any Uttarakhand resident is stranded or facing issues in these countries, the above contact details should be used immediately.
While contacting, it is mandatory to provide details such as name, father’s/husband’s name, country of residence, full address, passport number, mobile/WhatsApp number, email, and contact details of a relative in Uttarakhand.
According to orders issued by Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan, this व्यवस्था has been implemented to ensure quick resolution of problems and timely assistance for residents in Gulf and Middle Eastern countries.
