Dehradun: A high-level brainstorming meeting on “Developed Uttarakhand Vision-2047” was held on Monday at the Civil Services Institute, Rajpur Road, to discuss the state’s long-term development roadmap. The meeting focused on strengthening inter-departmental coordination, optimal utilisation of resources, and strategies to achieve the state’s ambitious development goals.
Inaugurating the meeting, Principal Secretary (Forest) R.K. Sudhanshu said that the Developed Uttarakhand Vision-2047 document is nearly complete. He added that the next phase will involve preparing district-specific Vision-2047 action plans for every district, which are expected to be finalised by December 2026.
Special emphasis was laid on strengthening key growth sectors, including horticulture, tourism, and micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs). The meeting also highlighted the need to promote inclusive development and women’s empowerment by encouraging STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) education among girls from an early stage.
Participants also stressed the importance of creating a centralised data system and ensuring the availability of high-quality data for effective implementation and continuous monitoring of Vision-2047 indicators.
The meeting was attended by Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Ramesh Kumar Sudhanshu, Principal Secretary (Planning) R. Meenakshi Sundaram, secretaries and additional secretaries of various departments, divisional commissioners, all district magistrates, and experts from SETU Aayog and CPPGG.
