Dehradun: Under the leadership of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, the 45-day “Government of the People, at the Doorstep” campaign has benefited over five lakh people. Through a total of 681 camps at the Nyay Panchayat level, 33,000 public issues were resolved on the spot.
The 45-day campaign across the state has set a record. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami had given clear instructions to officials that people should not have to run around government offices to resolve their problems. To ensure that the administration itself reaches out to people and resolves their complaints.
Keeping this vision of the Chief Minister in mind, the government launched the “Government of the People, at the Doorstep” campaign in December. The campaign concluded on Friday. A total of 533,452 people participated in 681 camps and availed themselves of various services.
Under the campaign, 51,053 complaints were received across the state, of which 33,755 were resolved on the spot. 74,184 applications for various certificates were received at the camps, and action is being taken on them expeditiously.
Through the campaign, people received government services without any hassle, which is the first step towards good governance. This 45-day campaign was a complete success. Although this special campaign has concluded, the administration will remain in constant contact with the public. Officials have been directed to continue resolving public grievances. – Pushkar Singh Dhami, Chief Minister
