Haridwar. Ahead of the proposed visit of Union Home Minister Amit Shah to Haridwar on March 7, the administration has accelerated preparations. Senior officials including Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan, DGP Deepam Seth, and Home Secretary Shailesh Bagoli inspected the program venue at Bairagi Camp.
During the inspection, officials reviewed arrangements for the pandal, stage, seating, parking, drinking water, electricity supply, sanitation, and security. Preparations for the proposed exhibition related to the state’s development schemes and the new criminal laws were also examined.
The Chief Secretary instructed the concerned departments to test all arrangements before the event to avoid any inconvenience during the program. He emphasized that the Home Minister’s visit is important, and all arrangements must be ensured in an organized and timely manner.
Special instructions were also given regarding security arrangements. Officials were directed to implement an effective traffic plan to maintain smooth traffic flow and ensure convenience for the large number of people expected to attend the event.
He advised all departments to work in coordination and made it clear that negligence at any level would not be tolerated.
On this occasion, several officials including Disaster Management Secretary Vinod Kumar Suman, Garhwal Commissioner Vinay Shankar Pandey, ADG Ajay Prakash Anshuman, Garhwal IG Rajiv Swaroop, District Magistrate Mayur Dixit, SSP Navneet Singh Bhullar, SIDCUL Managing Director Saurabh Gaharwar, and Director General of Information Banshidhar Tiwari were present.
