The Union government has recently mandated IPS Saroj Kumar Thakur, an officer of the 2010 Tamil Nadu cadre, currently serving as Joint Commissioner, Law and Order (East), Greater Chennai, to take charge as the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB). This appointment is on a central deputation basis and will last for five years.
CM Dhami said at the book launch, “Encourage the habit of reading books, give books, not bouquets.”
