J&K Govt Promotes 4 IPS Officers, Including Shakti Kumar Pathak, as In-Charge Inspectors General of Police

JAMMU: The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has ordered the placement of four IPS officers as In-Charge Inspectors General of Police (IGPs), marking a significant elevation for officers of the 2009 batch of the AGMUT cadre.

According to an official order issued by Chandraker Bharti, the posting orders of the promoted officers will be issued separately.

Four IPS Officers Elevated as In-Charge IGPs

The officers promoted to the rank of In-Charge Inspector General of Police are:

Shakti Kumar Pathak

Currently serving as Assistant Director in the Anti-Corruption Bureau Jammu and Kashmir and also holding additional charge as Director, ACB Jammu and Kashmir.

Dr Mohd Haseeb Mughal

Presently posted as Deputy Inspector General (DIG), Traffic, Jammu.

Sheikh Junaid Mehmood

Currently serving as DIG, Indian Reserve (IR), Kashmir.

Shahid Mehraj Rather

Presently serving as Director, Police Telecom.

Posting Orders to Follow Separately

The Home Department clarified that while the officers have been placed as In-Charge IGPs, detailed posting and assignment orders will be issued separately.

Significant Career Advancement

All four officers belong to the 2009 batch of the AGMUT cadre and have held important assignments in anti-corruption, traffic management, reserve police and communications.
