Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has expressed gratitude to the Central Government on getting approval for the establishment of Kendriya Vidyalaya in Madan Negi of Tehri Garhwal district of Uttarakhand. He said that this decision will provide an opportunity to the children of the area to get quality education and will also strengthen the educational structure at the local level.
The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan has approved the establishment of a new Kendriya Vidyalaya in Madan Negi, Tehri Garhwal. This school will be operated under the civil sector from the academic session 2026–27.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that with the opening of Kendriya Vidyalaya, children of Madan Negi and nearby areas will be able to get better and modern education. He said that the central and state governments are committed to taking youth forward in the field of education and building their bright future.
Chief Minister Dhami, while posting on social media platform X on Monday, expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that with the approval for the establishment of Kendriya Vidyalaya in Madan Negi of Tehri Garhwal district, children of the area will get an opportunity to receive modern and quality education and the local education system will also be strengthened.
The new Kendriya Vidyalaya will be operated in the initial phase from class 1 to class 5, in which there will be one section in each class. According to requirement and approval, classes will also be expanded in the coming years. The admission process will be started within 30 days after completion of all necessary formalities.
It is noteworthy that approval has been given by the Central Government to open 85 new Kendriya Vidyalayas across the country. The school to be established in Madan Negi, Tehri Garhwal is also included among those approved schools.
