Dehradun: The Bharatiya Janata Party’s organisational meeting for the Garhwal division was held on Saturday at the Atithi Community Hall near Race Course Chowk in Dehradun. District presidents and Mandal presidents from various districts of the Garhwal division participated in the meeting. State BJP president and Rajya Sabha MP Mahendra Bhatt and Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami also attended.
Before the meeting, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said the BJP is a cadre-based party and such meetings are important for continuously strengthening the organisation.
He said the government and the organisation are working together in the public interest. Along with taking government schemes and achievements to the last person, efforts are being made to strengthen the organisation at the grassroots level.
The Chief Minister said party workers have an important role in taking government schemes to the people. Direct interaction with organisational office-bearers provides an opportunity to understand grassroots problems and suggestions.
He said emphasis would be placed on making the organisation more active and effective in the coming period.
State BJP president Mahendra Bhatt said the objective of the meeting was to review organisational activities and discuss upcoming programmes and the party’s strategy. Discussions were held directly with district- and Mandal-level office-bearers regarding the organisation’s current status and future action plan.
The meeting also discussed increasing the participation of workers at Mandal and district levels, making organisational programmes more effective and communicating the government’s achievements to the public. Strategies to further strengthen the organisation up to the booth level were also discussed.
The meeting, held in the presence of the Chief Minister and the state BJP president, is considered significant from the perspective of upcoming organisational activities.
