Manjul Singh Manjila Memorial Inter Cricket Tournament inaugurated in Dehradun, CM Dhami boosts players’ morale by playing cricket

Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated the Manjul Singh Manjila Memorial Inter Cricket Tournament on Wednesday at Maharana Pratap Sports College, Dehradun, organized by the Uttaranchal Press Club.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister himself played cricket to encourage the players and promote sportsmanship.

He said that sports are extremely important for physical and mental development. Through sports, qualities like discipline, teamwork, leadership, and resilience are developed among youth.

He added that the state government is continuously working to expand sports infrastructure and provide better opportunities to players.

He also said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, initiatives like Khelo India and Fit India Movement have boosted sports culture in the country, inspiring youth to adopt a healthy lifestyle.

Cabinet Minister Khajan Das, MLA Umesh Sharma Kau, Director of Sports Dr. Ashish Chauhan, Director General of Information Banshidhar Tiwari, Uttaranchal Press Club President Ajay Singh Rana, and other dignitaries were present at the event.
