Khatima: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated the newly constructed Nagar Van Oxygen Park in Khatima on Tuesday. He also planted saplings and inspected the park premises. During the programme, the Chief Minister made six important announcements for the development of the area.
The Chief Minister announced the expansion of the Nagar Van Oxygen Park, shifting the Forest Range Officer’s office to the park premises, construction of a stadium and Kriya-shala in Khatima, construction of a circuit house and development of a vending zone.
The Chief Minister said Khatima’s geographical location was important from the tourism perspective. Considering the convenience of tourists and pilgrims travelling to the Vyas Valley, Panchachuli and Adi Kailash, a circuit house would be constructed here. He also said the necessary financial assistance would be provided for the expansion of the Nagar Van Oxygen Park.
He said the construction of the park would provide local residents with a clean, green and healthy environment. Maintaining the park in a clean and beautiful condition was a collective responsibility, he said. He also directed officials to construct a pink toilet in the park premises for the convenience of women.
The Chief Minister said environmental protection had become extremely important in the era of climate change and global warming. The economy and the environment are not contradictory but complementary to each other. The government is pursuing development alongside environmental protection. He said rapid work was also being undertaken to promote clean energy, including electric vehicles, the necessary infrastructure for them and solar energy projects.
MP Ajay Bhatt said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, Uttarakhand was continuously progressing on the path of development and establishing its identity among the leading states of the country.
