Newly Elected District Cooperative Bank Chairpersons Meet Chief Minister Dhami

Dehradun: The newly elected chairpersons of various district cooperative banks in Uttarakhand met Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami at the Secretariat on Friday. The Chief Minister congratulated all the chairpersons and wished them a successful tenure.

The Chief Minister said that the cooperative sector is playing an important role in strengthening Uttarakhand’s rural economy. District cooperative banks are an important means of connecting farmers, rural residents, women and youth with banking facilities while also promoting self-employment and economic activities. He expressed hope that the newly elected office-bearers would work to further strengthen the cooperative sector by giving the highest priority to transparency and public welfare.

Those who met the Chief Minister included Manjeet Rawat, Chairman of District Cooperative Bank Dehradun; Gajendra Singh Rawat, Chairman of Chamoli; Pankaj Rawat, Chairman of District Cooperative Bank Garhwal (Kotdwar); Subhash Chandra Ramola, Chairman of Tehri Garhwal; and Bijendra Singh Chaudhary, Chairman of District Cooperative Bank Haridwar. All the chairpersons were recently elected unopposed to the chairperson posts of their respective district cooperative banks. Cabinet Ministers Khajan Das and Ram Singh Kaida were also present on the occasion.
