On Harela, Chief Minister Dhami Offers Prayers at Vriddha Jageshwar, Prays for the Prosperity of the State

Almora: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami visited Vriddha Jageshwar Dham on Thursday on the occasion of the Harela festival and offered prayers to Lord Shiva with Vedic rituals and chants. He prayed to Lord Mahadev for the happiness, prosperity, good health, and well-being of the people of the state and sought blessings for Uttarakhand’s continued progress and public welfare. During the visit, the Chief Minister also distributed prasad to young girls in the temple premises.

Extending his greetings to the people on the occasion of Harela, the Chief Minister said that Vriddha Jageshwar Dham is one of the country’s prominent and ancient shrines dedicated to Lord Shiva and holds immense spiritual and cultural significance. He said that the state government is continuously working for the preservation and promotion of Uttarakhand’s religious and cultural heritage. Various development projects are also being implemented to provide better facilities for pilgrims and promote religious tourism.

After offering prayers, the Chief Minister inspected the temple premises and reviewed the facilities available for devotees. He instructed officials to ensure that pilgrims do not face any inconvenience and that security, cleanliness, and other basic amenities are provided in a timely and well-organised manner.

On the occasion, Jageshwar MLA Mohan Singh Mehra, Minister of State Kundan Latwal, BJP District President Mahesh Nayal, District Magistrate Anshul Singh, Senior Superintendent of Police Chandrashekhar R. Ghodke, office-bearers of the temple committee, public representatives, and administrative officials were present.
