On the occasion of Akshaya Tritiya, the Akhand Paramdham Ganga Ghat was inaugurated in Haridwar, and Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami participated in the Sannyas Anniversary program

Haridwar: On the auspicious occasion of Akshaya Tritiya, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated the event by lighting a ceremonial lamp. During the program, he inaugurated the Akhand Paramdham Ganga Ghat built under the Namami Gange Programme and took part in the 71st Sannyas Anniversary celebration of Swami Parmanand Giri.

Welcoming saints and devotees who had arrived from across the country, the Chief Minister said that the event is not limited to the inauguration of a ghat, but symbolizes the continuous flow of Sanatan culture, faith, and spiritual consciousness. He described the life of Swami Parmanand Giri as a unique example of penance, sacrifice, and devotion, and said that his teachings guide society towards service and human welfare.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister also mentioned the contributions of Sadhvi Ritambhara, stating that her life is an inspiration of dedication to the nation and culture. He said that the guidance of saints provides the right direction to society and strengthens spiritual values.

The Chief Minister said that under the leadership of Narendra Modi, India’s Sanatan culture has gained global recognition. He referred to projects such as the Shri Ram Mandir, redevelopment of Kedarnath Temple and Badrinath Temple, the Kashi Vishwanath Corridor, and Mahakal Lok, stating that continuous efforts are being made to preserve cultural heritage.

He added that the state government is committed to establishing Uttarakhand as the spiritual capital of the world. Rapid work is underway on the development of Kedarkhand and Manaskhand temple regions, the Haridwar–Rishikesh corridor, and other religious projects.

Referring to the Char Dham Yatra, the Chief Minister said that the pilgrimage has begun with Akshaya Tritiya, and the portals of Gangotri Temple and Yamunotri Temple have been opened for devotees. He said the government’s priority is to make the yatra safe, well-organized, and convenient, and that all preparations have been completed.

The program was attended by Swami Ramdev along with several saints, public representatives, and administrative officials.
