One Click Transfers ₹110 Million to 4,400 Workers; CM Dhami Releases Funds Through DBT

Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Saturday transferred nearly ₹110 million (₹11 crore) directly into the bank accounts of more than 4,400 workers through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) under various welfare schemes of the Uttarakhand Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board.

During a program held at the Chief Minister’s residence, beneficiaries of post-marriage assistance, death compensation grants, maternity benefits, and educational assistance schemes received financial support through a one-click transfer.

The Chief Minister directed the Labour Department to widely publicize worker welfare schemes and organize special camps across different sectors to connect more eligible workers with these benefits. He also emphasized ensuring the distribution of essential materials near workers’ workplaces for their convenience.

He stressed regular health check-ups for workers, support for the education of their dependent children, and the organization of special camps for distributing essential household items. He further instructed officials to maintain complete transparency in the implementation of all schemes and maximize the use of information technology to ensure that benefits reach only eligible workers.

During the event, it was informed that over the past year, the Welfare Board has distributed a total grant amount of ₹930.6 million (₹93.06 crore) to 24,323 workers under various welfare schemes.
