Dehradun: The Uttarakhand government’s ‘Jan-Jan Ki Sarkar, Jan-Jan Ke Dwar’ (Government at Every Doorstep) campaign, launched under the directions of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, has received an overwhelming public response across the state. During the second phase of the campaign, 1,34,740 people have participated in the camps so far. Combined with the first phase, total public participation has crossed 6.5 lakh.
Since the second phase began on July 4, a total of 198 camps have been organised. Of the 23,219 public grievances received, 20,808 were resolved on the spot, while 81,753 beneficiaries received benefits under various government welfare schemes.
The camps are providing services including social welfare pensions, Ayushman cards, medical and agricultural equipment, and the issuance of various certificates.
During the first phase, conducted over 45 days in December, 681 camps witnessed the participation of 5,33,452 people, and nearly 33,000 complaints were resolved promptly. The initiative has been widely appreciated as a successful model of good governance.
Chief Minister Dhami said the objective of the campaign is to save citizens from making repeated visits to government offices. Instead, the administration is reaching villages directly to resolve grievances and deliver the benefits of government welfare schemes at a single location. He reiterated the government’s commitment to simplification, solution, and public satisfaction.
