Pithoragarh: During his visit to Pithoragarh, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami gifted the district development projects worth more than ₹165 crore. Launching Kailash Utsav-2026 at Laxman Singh Mahar Government College, the Chief Minister inaugurated and laid foundation stones for several development schemes.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that 45 development projects had been inaugurated and launched for Pithoragarh district, which would prove to be milestones for regional development. During the event, he also made several announcements related to the development of the college.
During the visit, the Chief Minister reached Surendra Singh Valdiya Sports Stadium, where he inspected newly developed sports facilities and honored players after interacting with them. He encouraged youth to move forward through sports.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami also conducted a surprise inspection of the district hospital. He interacted with admitted patients and their family members, reviewed healthcare arrangements, and instructed officials to provide better medical facilities.
Additionally, the Chief Minister visited Berinag, where he inspected the under-construction office of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). During the visit, local residents and public representatives raised several regional issues and demands before him.
In Berinag, BJP leader Manish Pant submitted a six-point memorandum highlighting issues related to land ownership rights and electricity-water connections in the Chaukori area. Representatives of the traders’ association and municipal body also submitted memorandums regarding healthcare facilities, sports grounds, road construction, and development works.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami also met local traders and residents. During the interaction, he stopped at the shop of Dan Singh Mehra in Berinag market, tasted the famous jalebi, and interacted with local people.
During the visit, the Chief Minister also attended the wedding ceremony of Deepika Chufal, daughter of Didihat MLA Bishan Singh Chufal and Vice Chairperson of the District Panchayat. He blessed the newlywed couple and wished them a happy married life.
The Chief Minister also visited the residence of BJP Social Media Co-Coordinator Lal Singh Koranga and expressed condolences on the death of his father, late Chandan Singh Koranga, while offering support to the bereaved family.
