Prime Minister may visit Uttarakhand on April 14, may inaugurate and lay foundation stones of several development projects

Dehradun: The Prime Minister may visit Uttarakhand on April 14. Preparations have been intensified at the state government and administrative level regarding the proposed program. However, the official schedule of the Prime Minister’s visit has not yet been released, but instructions have been given to various departments to make necessary preparations considering the possible visit.

According to information, the Prime Minister may inaugurate and lay foundation stones of several important development projects during this visit. The inauguration of the Delhi-Dehradun Elevated Expressway is considered to be a major highlight. With the start of this project, travel time between Delhi and Dehradun will be significantly reduced and connectivity will become smoother.

Apart from this, the inauguration of the Tehri Pump Storage Hydropower Project is also being considered. This project will help increase the state’s energy capacity and strengthen the power supply system.

The Prime Minister’s program may also include foundation laying of the expansion work of Pantnagar Airport and the land port project being developed in Banbasa area of Champawat district. Completion of these projects is expected to boost connectivity, trade, and tourism activities.

Considering the possible visit, administrative preparations related to security arrangements, venue, and other logistics are being reviewed. Officials said that all preparations will be finalized after the official schedule is released.

It is believed that this visit of the Prime Minister may give new momentum to infrastructure development, connectivity, and the tourism sector in the state.
