Rajasthan Transfers 17 IPS Officers in Major Police Reshuffle; Piyush Dixit Appointed SP Dausa

Jaipur: In a significant late-night administrative reshuffle, the Rajasthan government on Tuesday transferred 17 Indian Police Service (IPS) officers and reassigned several senior officers across key police wings and district postings. As part of the overhaul, Superintendents of Police (SPs) in seven districts were changed, including Dausa, Bhilwara, Chittorgarh, Didwana-Kuchaman, Tonk, Bharatpur, and Nagaur.

One of the most notable appointments in the reshuffle is that of Piyush Dixit, who has been transferred from the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), Jaipur, and appointed as the new Superintendent of Police (SP) of Dausa.

Seven Districts Get New Police Chiefs

The reshuffle brought new district police chiefs to several important districts:

  • Piyush Dixit appointed SP, Dausa
  • Sagar transferred from SP Dausa to SP Bhilwara
  • Dharmendra Singh shifted from SP Bhilwara to SP Chittorgarh
  • Gyan Chandra Yadav appointed SP, Didwana-Kuchaman
  • Rajesh Kumar Meena moved from SP Tonk to SP Bharatpur
  • Roshan Meena transferred from SP Nagaur to SP Tonk
  • Richa Tomar posted as Commandant, 11th Battalion RAC, New Delhi

Manish Tripathi Posted to ATS Jaipur

Manish Tripathi has been transferred from SP Chittorgarh to SP, Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS), Jaipur.

Meanwhile, Gordhan Lal Saunkaria has been appointed SP, ACB Jaipur after serving as SP (Law and Order) at Police Headquarters.

Harendra Kumar Mahawar Becomes IG, Kota Range

Senior IPS officer Harendra Kumar Mahawar has been transferred from IG, CID-CB to Inspector General (IG), Kota Range. The post had been lying vacant.

Major Changes at Police Headquarters

Several senior-level postings were also announced:

  • Lata Manoj Kumar transferred as ADG, Community Policing and Public Prosecution
  • Hawa Singh Ghumaria given additional charge of ADG, Civil Rights and Anti-Human Trafficking
  • K B Vandana appointed IG, CID (Crime Branch) after returning from central deputation with the National Investigation Agency
  • Param Jyoti posted as IG, RAC Jaipur
  • Kalu Ram Rawat transferred as IG, Telecommunications
  • Shaveta Dhankhar posted to RAC Jaipur
  • Bhuvan Bhushan Yadav transferred from ACB Bikaner to SOG Jaipur

Ashima Vaswani Posted as ASP Bharatpur City

Young IPS officer Ashima Vaswani has been transferred from Assistant SP, Mavli (Udaipur), and posted as Assistant SP, Bharatpur City.

Administrative Shake-Up to Strengthen Law and Order

The transfer order, issued by the Department of Personnel and signed by Joint Secretary Dr. Dheeraj Kumar Singh, is aimed at strengthening policing and improving operational efficiency across Rajasthan.

The reshuffle impacts district policing, anti-terror operations, anti-corruption units, community policing, telecommunications, and specialized wings such as the ATS, SOG, and CID.
