Resolve Public Issues in a Time-Bound Manner, Ensure Citizens Do Not Suffer Repeated Office Visits: CM Dhami

Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami directed government officials to ensure the priority-based, time-bound resolution of public grievances, emphasizing that citizens should not be forced to visit government offices repeatedly. Reaffirming state priorities, he stated that the government is committed to delivering public welfare schemes and services directly to the last person in society.

The Chief Minister made these remarks on Saturday while attending a multipurpose public service camp organized under the Sewa Sankalp Abhiyaan at Kshatriya Chetna Manch on Tapovan Road, Dehradun. Inspecting departmental stalls, CM Dhami distributed agricultural equipment, mushroom minikits, and Mahalakshmi and Kishori kits under the Women and Child Development Department to beneficiaries.

On-Spot Resolution of Grievances

CM Dhami instructed officials to treat complaints received during the camps with utmost seriousness. In cases where resolutions require additional processing time, clear updates must be provided to the complainant. He emphasized that resolving public grievances is not a mere administrative formality, but a fundamental public service duty.

Over 6.5 Lakh Citizens Participated Across Two Phases

Highlighting state campaigns, the Chief Minister noted that the Sewa Sankalp Abhiyaan has been active since September 17 (marking Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday). Previously, over 6.5 lakh citizens participated across two phases of the ‘Jan-Jan Ki Sarkar, Jan-Jan Ke Dwar’ campaign, during which local issues were addressed and scheme benefits disbursed to eligible residents.

He stressed that multipurpose camps aim to bridge administrative gaps, requiring government machinery to directly engage with citizens so no eligible individual is excluded due to lack of awareness or procedural complexities.

Facilitating Amenities for Elders, Women, and Remote Regions

The Chief Minister highlighted that the state is continuously simplifying administrative processes for certificates, pensions, ration cards, and healthcare access—especially targeting senior citizens, women, and residents of remote areas. He added that health check-ups, medical consultations, and coverage under Ayushman Bharat and Atal Ayushman Uttarakhand are being actively provided at these camps for early disease detection and treatment.

Urging citizens to utilize the camps, CM Dhami called upon public representatives and officials to work with a spirit of dedication, noting that developed Uttarakhand (Viksit Uttarakhand) can only be realized through active public participation and good governance.

Dignitaries present included MLA Umesh Sharma Kau, District Magistrate Ashish Chauhan, MDDA Vice-Chairman Banshidhar Tiwari, Municipal Commissioner Alok Kumar Pandey, SSP Pramendra Dobhal, and Chief Development Officer Abhinav Shah.
