Dehradun: A meeting of the Apex Committee was held to review the progress of the Jal Jeevan Mission in the state. The meeting was chaired by Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan, during which detailed discussions were held on ongoing work, financial status, and upcoming plans under the mission.

During the meeting, the Chief Secretary instructed officials to exercise special caution regarding drinking water quality. He said that both chemical and bacteriological testing must be conducted during water quality checks and that the details of the tests should be publicly recorded in the concerned projects along with the date.

He further directed that all reports to be submitted to the Central Government should be prepared and sent on time. He emphasized that villages where Functional Household Tap Connection (FHTC) progress has been reported under the Har Ghar Jal scheme must ensure 100 percent certification, so that there is no gap between reporting and actual implementation.
