Scientific Study Prioritized to Maintain Ecological Balance in Badrinath Corridor Development

Dehradun: Scientists from the Indian Institute of Remote Sensing presented a scientific study to Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan regarding the ecological and ecosystem balance during the Badrinath Dham corridor development works.

The study, conducted in January, employed thermal remote sensing and geophysical surveys to analyze the area’s ecological sensitivity, thermal changes, and geophysical conditions.

The Chief Secretary emphasized that maintaining environmental balance alongside development is crucial in a hilly state like Uttarakhand. He directed that such studies be utilized wherever needed and the findings verified as required. Secretary D. S. Gabriyal and relevant departmental officials attended the meeting.
