Second Phase of ‘Government at Every Doorstep’ Campaign Underway; Thousands Benefiting Daily

Dehradun: The second phase of the ‘Jan-Jan Ki Sarkar, Jan-Jan Ke Dwar’ (Government for Every Citizen, At Every Doorstep) campaign, launched across Uttarakhand on the directions of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, has received an encouraging public response. Within the first three days of the 15-day campaign, which began on July 4, thousands of people attended special camps across the state, availing themselves of government welfare schemes and getting their grievances resolved on the spot.

Special camps organized at the district, block, and tehsil levels are providing services such as social welfare pensions, Ayushman cards, official certificates, medical equipment, agricultural tools, seeds, and other welfare benefits free of cost. Complaints related to roads, electricity, water supply, and revenue matters are also being addressed immediately. Officials from various departments, along with elected representatives, are present at the camps to hear public grievances.

The government’s objective is to spare citizens from making repeated visits to government offices. Under this initiative, the administration is reaching villages and towns directly, resolving grievances at the grassroots level and delivering government services to eligible beneficiaries at a single location.

Officials noted that during the previous 45-day campaign held in December 2025, 681 camps were organized across the state. More than 533,000 people participated, and nearly 33,000 public grievances were resolved promptly. The initiative was widely appreciated as an effective model of good governance.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said the government’s goal is to ensure that citizens do not have to run from one government office to another to resolve their problems. He reiterated the government’s commitment to delivering public services under the guiding principles of “Simplification, Solution, and Satisfaction,” while ensuring quick grievance redressal and efficient implementation of welfare schemes.
