Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami flagged off a special train from Harrawala Railway Station to Veraval (Somnath) on the occasion of “Somnath Swabhiman Parv.”

Around 700 pilgrims from across Uttarakhand are participating in the six-day pilgrimage, including women from Self-Help Groups, beneficiaries of government schemes, saints, and representatives of various social groups.

The Chief Minister described Somnath Temple as a symbol of India’s faith, resilience, and national pride.

He said India is witnessing a cultural renaissance under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership through projects such as Ayodhya, Kashi Vishwanath, Kedarnath, Mahakal, and Badrinath.

He also highlighted Uttarakhand’s initiatives, including the Kedarkhand, Manaskhand, Yamunatirth, Haridwar-Rishikesh Corridor, and Sharda Corridor projects.
