Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has given major relief to state government employees and pensioners by approving an increase in Dearness Allowance (DA). Following the pattern of the Central Government, the Chief Minister approved an increase in the existing DA rate from 58 percent to 60 percent per month with effect from January 1, 2026.
Thousands of state employees and pensioners will directly benefit from this decision. The revised DA will be considered effective from January 2026.
More Than ₹50 Crore Approved for Various Development Projects
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has also approved financial sanctions worth around ₹50 crore for various development projects in the state.
Under this:
- ₹3.13 crore has been sanctioned for the construction of six Type-II residential quarters and a boundary wall at Kotwali Pancheshwar in Champawat district.
- ₹36.64 crore has been approved for the construction of 64 Type-II, 8 Type-III, and 4 Type-IV residential quarters at the Haldwani Fire Station.
- ₹3.47 crore has been sanctioned for the construction of six Type-II and one Type-III residential quarters at Reetha Sahib Police Station in Champawat district.
Approval for Parking Facilities in Almora and Gwaldam
The Chief Minister has also approved:
- ₹5.91 crore for parking construction at Maulekhal Market in Almora district.
- ₹61.57 lakh for vehicle parking construction at Gwaldam Market in the Tharali Assembly constituency of Chamoli district.
The government stated that these projects will strengthen infrastructure and provide better facilities to local residents.
