Strict directives for disposal of pending complaints on CM Helpline 1905; curb on force closure

Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has directed a special campaign to ensure the prompt resolution of complaints pending for more than 30 days on the CM Helpline 1905. During a review meeting held at the Secretariat, he made it clear that no complaint will be force-closed without approval from the competent authority.

The Chief Minister stated that if any complaint is force-closed without adequate action, accountability will be fixed on the concerned officer. He emphasized that the CM Helpline is not just a phone number but an important medium of public trust and expectations, and every complaint must be resolved satisfactorily.

He instructed all District Magistrates, department heads, and secretaries to regularly review pending complaints and ensure their timely resolution. It was also directed that review meetings must be held weekly at the district level and at least twice a month at the departmental level.

During the meeting, it was informed that an AI-based monitoring system is being used for better grievance redressal, helping in predicting complaints and identifying hotspots. In the summer season, complaints related to drinking water, energy, urban development, and the home department have been prominent.

The Chief Minister also interacted with officers who resolved a high number of complaints and appreciated their work. He directly spoke to some complainants, listened to their issues, and directed immediate resolution.

He further instructed officials to maintain regular communication with complainants, take feedback, and strengthen monitoring mechanisms at higher levels to ensure better and more effective public services.
