Khatima: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami visited Nanakmatta on Saturday, where he issued a stern warning against religious conversion and attempts to tamper with the culture of Devbhoomi Uttarakhand. He clearly stated that such activities would not be tolerated at any cost and strict action would be taken by the government.
The Chief Minister began his visit by offering prayers at Gurudwara Shri Nanakmatta Sahib and prayed for the prosperity, peace, and well-being of the state. Thereafter, he attended the Veer Shiromani Maharana Pratap Jayanti celebration.
During the event, local residents and organizers gave the Chief Minister a grand welcome. Addressing the gathering, he paid tribute to Maharana Pratap’s courage, patriotism, and self-respect, stating that his life continues to inspire the youth even today.
He further said that the state government is consistently working for the social and economic upliftment of tribal communities. Several schemes related to education, self-employment, and women empowerment are being implemented for the Tharu tribe and other communities.
The Chief Minister reiterated from the stage that the government would take strict action against activities that harm the culture, traditions, and religious identity of Devbhoomi.
At the conclusion of the program, the Chief Minister honored meritorious students and encouraged them before departing for his next event in Champawat.
