Uttarakhand: Additional Commissioner Tajbar Singh Jaggi Honoured as India’s Best Drug Controller

Dehradun: Tajbar Singh Jaggi, Additional Commissioner of the Food Safety and Drug Administration Department, has been honoured with the National Award for Best Drug Controller. The award was presented during the Central Executive Committee meeting of the Drug Controller Officer Welfare Association held in Daman.

Under Jaggi’s leadership, the Uttarakhand Food Safety and Drug Administration has been working effectively to safeguard public health. The department has intensified efforts to ensure food quality, curb adulteration, inspect food establishments, test samples, and take strict action against violators.

In the pharmaceutical sector, the department has also been conducting sustained campaigns against counterfeit and illegal medicines, while regularly monitoring medical stores and drug manufacturing units to ensure the availability of quality medicines.

Jaggi’s leadership has emphasized not only strict enforcement but also public awareness. The department has launched several initiatives to educate citizens about food and drug safety alongside implementing regulations effectively.

The award was presented by Koteshwar Rao, National President of the Drug Controller Officer Welfare Association.
