New Delhi/Dehradun: The Labour Department of Uttarakhand has achieved a major milestone in digital governance. At an event organized by SKOCH Group, the Uttarakhand Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board was awarded the Gold Award for its innovative Labour Cess Collection Management System (LCCMS).
The prestigious award was received by Labour Commissioner P.C. Dumka.
The LCCMS portal, developed by the board, is a significant digital initiative aimed at ensuring transparency, accountability, and efficiency in labour welfare schemes. It replaces the traditional manual system with a modern online mechanism.
Recognizing its success, the Ministry of Labour and Employment has recommended this system as a model for implementation in other states as well.
This initiative was launched under the guidance of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, who had directed the department to strengthen good governance, accountability, and the vision of Digital India through an effective digital system.
Labour Commissioner P.C. Dumka said that this recognition is the result of the Chief Minister’s visionary leadership and the dedicated efforts of the departmental team.
