Uttarakhand Launches Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of Electoral Rolls

Dehradun: Uttarakhand has launched a Special Intensive Revision (SIR) campaign to make electoral rolls more accurate and error-free. As part of the initiative, Chief Electoral Officer Dr. B.V.R.C. Purushottam formally handed over the enumeration form to Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami at the Secretariat.

The Chief Electoral Officer stated that the campaign is being conducted under the directions of the Election Commission of India to verify and update voter information.

Key Features of the Campaign

  • Every registered voter will receive an enumeration form.
  • The campaign will continue for one month.
  • Booth Level Officers (BLOs) will collect forms door-to-door until July 7.
  • Collected forms will be digitized through the BLO App.
  • The process aims to create a transparent, updated, and error-free voter list.

CM Dhami described the initiative as an important step toward strengthening democratic processes and urged all voters to actively participate.
