New Delhi : Taranjit Singh Sandhu (IFS: 1988), former Indian ambassador to the United States, joined the BJP on Tuesday. He is likely to be fielded in the 2024 Lok Sabha polls from Amritsar in Punjab. He joined the party in the presence of its general secretaries — Vinod Tawde and Tarun Chugh. Sandhu is considered one of the finest Diplomat vastly networked across US and around who has personal goodwill in US, Canada and other neighbouring countries. His peers say that taking Sandhu on board signals the futuristic perspective of Modi-Shah led BJP importance of which transcends 2024 LS polls. It is very interesting to note that immediately after Sudha Murty nominated to the Rajya Sabha, accounts of Khalistan supporters were seized in UK. The British government dealt a massive blow against Khalistani supporters, marking a big win for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s diplomacy. Prime Minister Rishi Sunak’s government seized more than 300 bank accounts belonging to Khalistan supporters.
