Lohaghat. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami participated in the Kali Kumaon Holi Rang Mahotsav held at Ramlila Maidan, Lohaghat, and extended Holi greetings to the gathering. On this occasion, he took part in traditional Kumaoni and classical Holi singing and shared festive joy with the local people.
The Chief Minister said that the folk culture, traditions, and festivals of Uttarakhand are the foundation pillars of our cultural identity. He stated that the Holi of Kali Kumaon in Champawat holds a special identity for its distinctive and traditional singing style.
He said that such cultural events are a strong medium for preserving our heritage and connecting the younger generation to their roots. Holi is not merely a festival of colors but a symbol of social unity, harmony, and mutual brotherhood. Preserving traditional culture in Champawat even in a modern environment is commendable.
Praising the organizing committee, the Chief Minister said that such festivals strengthen social harmony and spread positive energy in society. During the program, he played Holi with local citizens and wished happiness, peace, and prosperity for the people of the state.
On this occasion, Member of Parliament and Union Minister of State Ajay Tamta, MLA Khushal Singh Adhikari, other public representatives, and administrative officers were present.
