Dehradun: A major administrative reshuffle has been carried out in the police department of Dehradun. Senior Superintendent of Police Pramendra Dobhal issued orders transferring 30 पुलिस personnel, including three station house officers.
The reshuffle is seen as a step toward strengthening law and order following the recent murder of retired Brigadier Mukesh Kumar Joshi in a firing incident during a road rage case on March 30 in the Rajpur थाना area.
Following the incident, questions were raised about police functioning, and “Operation Prahar” was launched to crack down on criminals.

- SHO Premnagar Kundan Ram transferred to Human Rights Cell
- SHO Nehru Colony Sanjeet Kumar assigned to Raipur Police Station
- SI Manoj Nautiyal appointed as new SHO Nehru Colony
- SI Praveen Saini posted as in-charge of Kuthal Gate outpost (Rajpur)
- SI Pankaj Kumar assigned to Dharmwala outpost (Sahaspur)
- SI Jagdamba Prasad transferred to Raiwala Police Station
- SI Baldeep Singh posted to Ranipokhri Police Station
- Several other sub-inspectors and officers were reassigned across different stations
Changes were also made in multiple outpost in-charges and police line staff.
The police department stated that these transfers aim to strengthen policing and improve law and order effectiveness.
