Karnataka Transfers 4 IAS Officers; Fouzia Taranum Gets Key Posting

The Karnataka government has carried out a minor administrative reshuffle, transferring four IAS officers and making changes in district administration and the finance department.

Among the key appointments, Fouzia Taranum (2015 batch), who was serving as Deputy Commissioner of Kalaburagi, has been appointed as Commissioner of the Rural Drinking Water and Sanitation Department (RDWSSD) in Bengaluru

She replaces an officer who was holding the position on additional charge.

New Deputy Commissioner for Kalaburagi

Mohammed Ikramulla Shariff (2016 batch), earlier posted in the Finance Department, has been appointed as the new Deputy Commissioner of Kalaburagi, taking over from Taranum.

Changes in Finance Department

As part of the reshuffle:

  • Dr Gopal Krishna B has been moved to handle Budget and Resources in the Finance Department.
  • Ruchi Bindal has been appointed as Deputy Secretary to Government, replacing him.
