New Delhi: The Union Government has issued a formal notification correcting the date of birth of Pushpa Sahu, a 2012-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the Chhattisgarh cadre.
According to the order, issued in partial modification of the Department of Personnel and Training’s (DoPT) earlier notification dated August 10, 2017, the officer’s date of birth will now be recorded as March 27, 1973, instead of the previously entered March 7, 1973.
The correction updates the official service records of the senior IAS officer, who currently serves as the Collector of Koriya district in Chhattisgarh
Official Correction in Service Records
The notification clarifies that the change pertains only to the date of birth and has been made through a partial amendment to the original induction notification issued in 2017.
Such corrections are significant because service records determine an officer’s tenure, retirement date, and other personnel-related matters.
