CM Dhami Expresses Condolences Over Lineman’s Death; Speaks to Family, Assures Full Support

Dehradun/Khatima: Following the death of contract lineman Ranjeet Singh Rana, who was electrocuted while working on a transformer in Khatima, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami spoke with the bereaved family over the phone and expressed his deep condolences. He assured the family that all possible assistance from the government would be provided.

Ranjeet Singh Rana was employed as a lineman under a contractor in the Khatima Electricity Department. The tragic incident has cast a pall of grief over the area. Senior BJP leader Naveen Bhatt and party workers visited the deceased’s residence in Naugawanath, where Chief Minister Dhami spoke to the victim’s parents by phone.

The Chief Minister assured the family that the state government stands with them during this difficult time and will extend every possible support. He urged them to remain strong and promised that the government would remain sensitive to their needs and concerns.

During the conversation, the deceased’s parents highlighted the family’s financial difficulties and requested financial assistance as well as a government job for the victim’s wife. The Chief Minister assured them of positive consideration of their demands.

Meanwhile, the family has alleged that a shutdown had been requested before work began on the transformer, but the power supply was not disconnected. As a result, Ranjeet Singh Rana reportedly came into contact with live electricity and lost his life. The family has demanded action against the responsible electricity department personnel and employment for the deceased’s wife.
