Dehradun/Khatima: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami attended a special public outreach campaign titled “12 Years of Trust, Development, and Public Welfare” as the chief guest in Baggha Chawwan, Khatima. He received a grand welcome with traditional Chholiya and Tharu cultural dance performances and floral garlands.
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Central Government has taken several historic and far-reaching decisions over the past 12 years, enabling India to emerge as a strong and influential force on the global stage.
CM Dhami highlighted initiatives such as Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao, Swachh Bharat Mission, Ujjwala Yojana, Har Ghar Jal Yojana, and Ayushman Bharat, stating that these schemes have positively transformed the lives of millions. He added that eligible citizens in Uttarakhand are receiving free medical treatment worth up to ₹5 lakh under the Ayushman Bharat scheme.
Referring to the COVID-19 pandemic, he said that India developed indigenous vaccines under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership and provided free vaccination to its citizens while also assisting many countries around the world.
The Chief Minister further stated that inspired by the Prime Minister’s vision, Uttarakhand has implemented several landmark reforms, including the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) and a strict anti-cheating law to ensure transparency in recruitment examinations. He said strong action has been taken against examination mafias under this legislation.
CM Dhami claimed that more than 33,000 youths have been provided government jobs through transparent and fair recruitment processes. He emphasized that the government’s goal is to accelerate development while ensuring that the benefits of welfare schemes reach even the last person in society.
He also discussed development initiatives in the Baggha Chawwan area, stating that efforts are underway to expand basic infrastructure and improve public facilities.
