Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Wednesday heard grievances and complaints from people across various parts of Uttarakhand at the Mukhya Sevak Sadan in the Chief Minister’s Camp Office. He directed officials concerned to ensure that all public grievances are resolved with sensitivity, transparency, and within the stipulated time frame so that citizens are not forced to make repeated visits to government offices.
The Chief Minister said the state government is committed to the principles of good governance and public welfare, and that the prompt resolution of people’s grievances remains one of its highest priorities. He instructed officials to thoroughly examine every complaint, take appropriate action in accordance with the rules, and keep complainants informed about the progress of their cases.
He said meeting the expectations of the people is the government’s responsibility and urged all officials to work with a spirit of public service while ensuring that there are no unnecessary delays in grievance redressal.
CM Dhami directed Garhwal Commissioner Anand Swaroop and IG Garhwal Rajiv Swaroop to ensure the priority-based disposal of complaints received during the public hearing. He said cases that can be resolved at the district or departmental level should be addressed immediately, while matters requiring higher-level decisions should be forwarded to the concerned departments without delay.
Emphasizing the need to make the public grievance redressal system more effective and result-oriented, the Chief Minister said every citizen of Uttarakhand should receive timely justice and relief.
