SOP to be formulated for security of state government offices, CM Dhami directs Chief Secretary

Dehradun. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has directed the Chief Secretary to prepare a detailed SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) to ensure the safety of officers, employees, and teachers in government offices and workplaces.

On Monday, officials of the Uttarakhand Officers and Employees Teachers Front met the Chief Minister at the Chief Minister’s residence and mentioned recent incidents involving government employees at various locations, including the incident at the Directorate of Elementary Education on February 21st. They demanded an effective prevention of such incidents.

The Chief Minister listened attentively to the employee leaders’ concerns and stated that the government has always been sensitive to the dignity and safety of employees. He directed the Chief Secretary over the phone to quickly formulate an SOP for the safety of officers, employees, and teachers.

The Chief Minister also directed the Director General of Police (DGP) to ensure robust security in government offices and take prompt legal action in such incidents. Additionally, the SSP Dehradun was asked to take action as per the rules against the culprits involved in the incident that took place at the Directorate of Education.

President of the State Medicinal Plant Board Pratap Singh Panwar, Front President Ram Singh Chauhan, General Secretary Mukesh Bahuguna and other officials were present in the meeting.
