Pipalkoti Tunnel Accident: CM Dhami Meets Injured Workers, Inquires About Their Well-Being at District Hospital

Gopeshwar: Following the accident at the under-construction THDC tunnel in Mayapur, Pipalkoti, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami reached the site and took stock of the relief and rescue operations. He subsequently visited the District Hospital in Gopeshwar, where he met the injured workers rescued from the tunnel and inquired about their well-being.

The Chief Minister asked the injured workers about their health and treatment. He also obtained information from doctors regarding the medical facilities being provided at the hospital. He directed the doctors to ensure that the injured workers receive the best possible treatment and that there is no shortcoming in their medical care.

He instructed officials to continuously monitor the health of the injured and provide all necessary medical facilities as required. The Chief Minister said that every human life is extremely precious to the government. All available resources are being utilised to safely evacuate the workers.

The Chief Minister said that safely rescuing every worker trapped inside the tunnel is the state government’s highest priority. There would be no shortcomings at any level in the relief and rescue operation, and all concerned agencies are working with full seriousness.

The Chief Minister said that he had personally spoken with the Chief Ministers of the concerned states to ensure that the families of workers affected by the accident receive timely information. He also said that a magisterial inquiry has been ordered to investigate the causes of the tunnel accident.

Badrinath MLA Lakhpat Singh Butola, District Panchayat Chairperson Daulat Singh Bisht, Additional District Magistrate Vivek Prakash, Chief Medical Superintendent Dr. Rajiv Pal, along with other officials and public representatives, were present on the occasion.
