Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Friday addressed a press conference on the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, which will begin on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday.
Dhami said all major programmes organised at the national level would also be held across Uttarakhand. Describing Uttarakhand as a state with a special connection to Prime Minister Modi, he said efforts would be made to connect citizens across the state with the vision of a developed India by 2047.
The Chief Minister said Prime Minister Modi’s 25-year journey as Chief Minister and Prime Minister represents a significant chapter in the country’s development. He said various schemes of the Central and state governments have provided opportunities for a large number of beneficiaries to improve their lives.
Dhami said young people would play the most important role in achieving the vision of a developed India and described the youth as the country’s greatest strength.
He said service camps would be organised across the state under the Seva Sankalp campaign, with outreach and interaction programmes involving young people as well as the general public.
The ‘Jan-Jan Ki Sarkar’ programme will be organised in all districts, with responsibility assigned to ministers in charge of the respective districts.
The 12 major programmes decided at the national level will also be organised in Uttarakhand. Development works undertaken in the state will be showcased to the public through these programmes.
The Chief Minister said a Viksit Bharat-2047 Kalash Yatra would also be organised, with participation from all sections of society.
The ‘Ashirwad Ka Diya’ programme will be held at prominent locations, including along the banks of the Ganga, medical colleges, major dams, smart industrial cities and satellite institutions of AIIMS.
Under the ‘Mere Sapno Ka Bharat’ programme, educational institutions will organise competitions based on Prime Minister Modi’s 25-year public life. Schools will host painting exhibitions and parents will also be encouraged to participate.
Under ‘Namo Seva Ankahi Kahaniyan’, schools will stage plays highlighting stories of India’s achievements.
The ‘Aangan Milan Seva’ programme will be organised at Anganwadi centres, where beneficiary mothers will share how government welfare schemes have brought changes to their lives.
Youth Are the Future of the Country
The Chief Minister said the government has consistently given priority to the youth.
Referring to the Cabinet’s decision to increase the stipend of intern doctors, he said the move was taken keeping their demands in mind.
Dhami also said the government’s action concerning madrassas was not intended to target any particular community. He said the government wants all children to receive quality education because every child in Uttarakhand represents the future of the state.
He said preventing alleged irregularities and fraud in data related to madrassas is a government priority.
The Chief Minister also described land-related fraud as a major challenge and said officials have been directed to take effective action to address the issue.
