Dehradun: On the occasion of Earth Hour, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami participated in the global initiative by switching off all non-essential lights at the Chief Minister’s residence from 8:30 PM to 9:30 PM on Saturday.
The Chief Minister said that Earth Hour is not just a symbolic initiative but an effective way to make people realize their responsibility toward nature. He emphasized that collective efforts are essential for energy conservation, environmental balance, and protection of natural resources.
He appealed to the people of the state to actively participate in such initiatives and adopt energy-saving habits in their daily lives. He added that small efforts lay the foundation for big changes and help ensure a safe and clean future for coming generations.
He also said that in a resource-rich state like Uttarakhand, environmental conservation and sustainable development are being given top priority, and the government is continuously working to maintain a balance between development and nature.
