Dehradun. Newly elected office bearers who emerged victorious in the District Cooperative Bank elections paid a courtesy call on Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami at the Chief Minister’s residence on Sunday. The office bearers informed the Chief Minister about their victory and sought his guidance.
Congratulating and extending best wishes to all the newly elected representatives, Chief Minister Dhami stated that this electoral victory reflects the trust of the public and representatives. Along with this victory comes new responsibility. He urged the office bearers to work towards strengthening the cooperative sector while fulfilling their duties with complete dedication, transparency, and commitment.
The Chief Minister said that cooperatives form a crucial cornerstone of Uttarakhand’s rural economy. Through cooperative institutions, economic empowerment can be achieved for farmers, women, youth, and rural residents, alongside providing new opportunities for self-employment and livelihood. The state government is making continuous efforts to strengthen the cooperative sector.
He added that bringing the benefits of development and economic opportunities to the last person in line through cooperatives remains one of the government’s top priorities. Newly elected office bearers should utilize their experience and energy to make the bank’s operations effective and work in the public interest.
Expressing gratitude to the Chief Minister, the newly elected representatives promised to discharge their responsibilities with full commitment and actively work to strengthen the cooperative sector.
