Anganwadi workers may soon get a boost; Dhami government serious about increasing honorarium

Dehradun: On Saturday, a delegation from the Anganwadi Workers/Helpers/Mini Workers Organization, Uttarakhand met Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami at the Secretariat and presented their various demands and issues. The delegation was led by the organization’s president, Rekha Negi.

During the meeting, the Chief Minister assured the Anganwadi workers that the state government is seriously considering a respectable increase in their honorarium. He said that their issues will be resolved on a priority basis.

On this occasion, the Women Empowerment and Child Development Department informed that a request has also been made to the central government to support the honorarium increase, so that a positive decision can be taken.

Following the Chief Minister’s assurance, the organization’s representatives agreed to temporarily postpone their proposed strike, keeping the door open for further dialogue between the government and employees.

Senior officials, including CM Secretary Shailesh Bagoli, Departmental Secretary Chandresh Kumar, and Director B.L. Rana, were also present in the meeting.
