Badrinath Temple gates open; 15,000 devotees offer prayers, CM Dhami performs first Mahabhishek in PM Modi’s name

Badrinath: The gates of Badrinath Dham were opened for devotees for the summer season on Thursday at 6:15 AM with proper rituals and Vedic chanting. As soon as the gates opened, the entire shrine was filled with devotion and faith. On this auspicious occasion, around 15,000 devotees from across the country and abroad had darshan of Lord Badri Vishal and the Akhand Jyoti, earning spiritual merit.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami performed the first Mahabhishek puja in the name of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, praying for the prosperity and well-being of the nation and the state. The Chief Minister also offered prayers at the Lakshmi Temple, Ganesh Temple, and the seat of Adi Guru Shankaracharya located in the temple परिसर.

Welcoming the pilgrims, the Chief Minister took feedback on travel arrangements and said that extensive preparations have been made to ensure a safe, smooth, and well-organized Char Dham Yatra. He also appealed to devotees to support a green and clean pilgrimage and emphasized environmental conservation.

Shrine resonates with folk culture
On this historic occasion, women from Mana and Bamni villages presented the traditional Jhumailo dance along with folk songs (Jagars), filling the temple परिसर with cultural and devotional vibrancy. Devotees from different parts of the country also offered prayers through bhajans and kirtans.

Community feast inaugurated, CM shares prasad with devotees
The Chief Minister inaugurated the community feast (bhandara) at the shrine and shared prasad with devotees. He interacted with the organizers to review arrangements and appreciated the large-scale bhandara being run by the Manav Seva Ishwar Seva Utthan Samiti.

With the commencement of the Char Dham Yatra, Badrinath Dham witnessed a unique blend of faith, tradition, and well-organized व्यवस्थाएं, offering devotees a divine and memorable experience.
