Dehradun: K.S. Chauhan, Joint Director in the Information and Public Relations Department, met Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Wednesday and presented him a copy of his book “Pahalgam… When Time Stood Still.”
The book is based on the author’s personal experiences during the brutal attack on tourists in Pahalgam. On the day of the incident, K.S. Chauhan was present in Pahalgam with his family and has documented those terrifying experiences in the form of a book.
Chauhan said that the book details the atmosphere, sequence of events, and various aspects related to the incident that took place on April 22, 2025. The final section of the book also mentions Operation Sindoor.
On this occasion, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the terrorist attack in Pahalgam a year ago had shaken the entire nation. Paying tribute to the tourists who lost their lives, he said that Operation Sindoor, carried out under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, became a historic example of India’s strong resolve and capability.
He added that such books not only document important moments in history but also provide future generations an opportunity to learn from these experiences.
