Dehradun. Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan met with meritorious and topper students from the Devprayag assembly constituency on Thursday at the Secretariat. The students were visiting as part of an India tour led by MLA Vinod Kandari.
Key Advice Issued to Students
- Hard Work: Stated that there are no shortcuts to success and urged students to continuously discover their capabilities through persistence and dedicated effort.
- Smart Tech Usage: Highlighted the rapid pace of technological change, advising students to stay updated while using mobile phones and technology responsibly to avoid potential pitfalls.
- Open Communication: Advised students to share mistakes, challenges, or mental stress openly with parents, teachers, or trusted individuals to prevent anxiety and depression.
- Substance Abuse Prevention: Cautioned against peer pressure leading to bad habits, encouraging students to choose friends wisely and engage in music, sports, and creative hobbies.
- Focus on Goals: Urged students to trust themselves, work toward set goals, and treat the educational tour as a learning experience to explore diverse cultures and places.
Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan appreciated MLA Vinod Kandari’s initiative and added that the state government is also working on plans to organize nationwide exposure tours for school and higher education students.
